This list is for the camping essentials food that you will need for your next camping trip.
Fruits & Vegetables
Try for fruits that have a peel so you don’t need to be washed and/or fruit that can get bumped around and durable. Pre-cut and wash all veggies at home if you can prior to going camping.

- Bananas * Banana Boats
- Pre-Cut Veggies – carrots, broccoli, etc.

- Pre-made Potato Salad, Coleslaw, etc. You can either make your own or buy it pre-made from the store.

Camping Meals
Meal planning can sometimes be the toughest part of getting packed up for packing. So this is the ideal camping food meal plan for 2 days or a weekend camping trip. We try to make things simple, easy, traditional campers food, fun and let’s the kids get involved with making all these foods outside. Just keep it simple!

It’s always fun to campfire cook! Food just seems to taste better cooked over the campfire. Here are some ideas for some campfire cooking snacks or meals. These are always part of our campsite food, especially with the kids and fun for the whole family.

Consider snacks that you can pack in a backpack for hikes, trips to the beach or going for bike rides. You’ll need backpacking food that can fuel you up and provide you energy.

The above camping food checklist can easily be extended into a camping food list for 3 days by simply adding on more of the same food and one main supper. We often sometimes throw in a package of spaghetti and sauce as an extra just in case we need extra food and it’s an easy meal for camping.
We’ve used this camp food list for when we are tent camping or rv camping, we always try to have a separate cooler just for the drinks which makes it easier with kids to grab the drinks and not impact the food stacking in the cooler.
