Travel Podcasts – It’s my new favourite thing to do for idea generation, learning, growing and being more motivated! It also takes very little work to do other than actively listening! I might be late to the game in finding these little nuggets of information that are out there but I can’t stop spreading the word about podcasts.
I LOVE podcasts!
I listen to them as I am cooking, cleaning or driving in the car (when the kids aren’t with me, of course, otherwise I can’t concentrate over the demands of passing juice boxes and Kleenex). I fell like I am optimizing so much dead time that I never took advantage of before.
If you are looking to be inspired and get the creative travel juices flowing try listening to my favourite podcasts below:
1. Family Adventure Podcast – Conversations with Erik Hemingway and guests will leave you feeling inspired when you realize how many families travel. Their family sailed across oceans and believe that if they can do it, anyone can do it. Check out their website and links to their podcast. www.familyadventurepodcast.com
2. Epic Education Radio – I love listening to Jason and his interviews with other travelling families. Some may be for weekend getaways, some gap years, some nomadic families but all have valuable bits of information and makes you think of things you never would have before. www.anepiceducation.com
3. Zero to Travel Podcasts – This podcasts has everything and anything to do with travel. Jason interviews all kinds of travellers – solo, couples and families from all over the world. He wraps in some content on location independence and entrepreneurism information too. A wide range of information and suitable for anyone who loves travel (family or no family). www.zerototravel.com
4. The World Wanderers – Amanda & Ryan make me feel like I am sitting down for coffee with them! I love to start off my day driving and listening to what they are talking about. This couple brings the dynamics of two people having a conversation generally about a travel topic and sometimes do interviews. Might be the Canadian connection that makes me love them even more :) www.theworldwanderers.com
If you like the above ones, then here are some BONUS podcasts that have some flavour of travel too.
The Tim Ferriss Show – If you haven’t heard of The 4-Hour Workweek book, go buy the book or audiobook and then you will get why Timothy Ferriss can have his own podcast! If you like the book you will love the podcast as he interviews other amazing guests who have succeeded in their own way. www.fourhourworkweek.com
Suitcase Entrepreneur – Calling all Freedomist! Natalie is on a mission to get you your freedom of choice. I love hearing her interviews with guests and wraps it in with her Freedom Plan. Plus, I love she drinks wine every once in a while from Portugal as she chats over her podcasts… makes me feel like I am having a nice evening with a positive friend. www.suitcaseentrepreneur.com
The Smart Passive Income – Looking for ideas for passive income? Then this is the podcast for you. Pat interviews all kinds of entrepreneurs with different ideas, backgrounds and concepts. Lots of good information condensed in a short timeframe. www.smartpassiveincome.com
Tropical MBA – I like to dynamics of Dan and Ian in this podcast, sometimes they agree and sometimes they don’t… but it’s always good information from different types of businesses/entrepreneur. If you are looking for a wealth of knowledge start listening to these two guys and their guests. I also like who they integrate some musical interlude into their podcasts too! www.tropicalmba.com
ProBlogger – Darren is a guru for anything related to blogging. I am by no means an expert in this blogging thing, but Darren’s podcast has helped me learn so much about it. He inspires me and keeps me motivated on blogging… even when I think nobody is reading this other than my family. If you are a newbie blogger or a veteran there is so much information for all on this podcast. www.problogger.com
